Patriotism and Freemasonry

Join the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of Masons in New Mexico, Wesley D. Thornton, 33° and the Santa Fe Scottish Rite Masons on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 for an in-person presentation in the Santa Fe Scottish Rite Temple by Illustrious Brother Tim Strawn, 33°, the Development Director for the Washington National Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia.

This event is part of the ongoing, yearlong Valley of Santa Fe semiquincentennial (the 250th year) anniversary celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Other events will be announced throughout the year.

This event is free and open to the public. Temple tours will be provided starting at 12:00pm, Brother Tim’s presentation will commence at 1:30pm, and a reception with light refreshments will be held immediately following his presentation.
