The good Mason never sits idly by, and in that tireless spirit the Scottish Rite, Valley of Santa Fe is pleased to announce we will host a “Virtual Reunion” online Friday, October 2nd through Saturday, October 3rd, 2020.
For this “historic” virtual event, the Valley of Santa Fe is offering a special half-price cost of $150.00 per candidate (normally $300.00), including all supplies (ring, cap, books, enrollment in the Master Craftsman program), shipping, and 2021 annual dues.
The Virtual Reunion will include communication of the five mandatory degrees, and we are accepting petitions from Master Masons who are interested in joining this class and becoming new 32°, Masters of the Royal Secret. This approach has been sanctioned by the Supreme Council of the Thirty-Third Degree, Southern Jurisdiction, and the members of the class will be constituted full members of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Santa Fe.
To be fair, a Virtual Reunion does not offer quite the face-to-face fraternity we have come to expect and cherish, but that alone is not reason to forestall a proper and timely path forward for those seeking to enter our fraternity. Indeed, in these times and under these circumstances, it is all the more important that we answer the knock on our door. We have both the talent and the enthusiasm to provide a meaningful initiatory experience, including the level of education for which our Valley is recognized nationally.
Here’s how it will work:
The degrees will be communicated online using the popular Zoom application. NO PART OF THE REUNION WILL INVOLVE ATTENDANCE AT THE TEMPLE BUILDING. PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL THERE FOR THAT PURPOSE (no meals, no dorm available). The online events will be virtually tyled. Prospective participants who cannot be promptly identified will not be admitted. Candidate attendance will be monitored. Please plan to log on five minutes before the scheduled start of each degree. The Valley of Santa Fe will issue each participating candidate with a “passport” to document their attendance at other degrees held at future reunions. Although it is strongly encouraged that candidates eventually attend conferral or communication of all degrees, to be clear, the candidates at this virtual reunion will be made full members and will be issued their patent as a 32°, Master of the Royal Secret.
